**About the role**

We’re looking for a** Casualty Claims Adjuster (Intermediate or Senior level) **to join our growing team

As a Casualty Claims Adjuster**,** you will be responsible for investigating moderate to complex Commercial General Liability claims to ensure a prompt and fair settlement. Your experience and expertise in claims will help you deliver outstanding customer service while analyzing and acting decisively based on the facts. Your natural ability to negotiate, influence, prioritize, be proactive and think creatively on your feet will help you thrive in our collaborative and energetic culture.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity and can be based in either Vancouver or Victoria.

**What you'll do here**:

- Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage
- Prepare reservation of rights and/or coverage denial letters
- Conduct investigations; identify & collect additional information such as medical history reports, lease agreements, contracts and various other expert reports required to clarify and/or justify a claim
- Participate in the management of loss and expense reserves
- Evaluate settlement criteria for payment of claims
- Represent the company in the negotiation and settlement of outstanding claims with third parties directly or with third party lawyers
- Manage claims through the litigation process

**What you bring to the table**:

- **3+ years of experience working in Personal Liability, Commercial General Liability or Auto Bodily Injury Claims**:

- Completion or working toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation - asset
- Effective verbal and written communication with all parties
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work in a paperless environment
- Ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
