**About the Job**
We are looking for a Talent Development Manager to join our world class People Operations team As our Talent Development Manager, you will live & breathe Vendasta’s most valuable asset—our people Reporting to and working closely with the Director of People and Culture, the Talent Development Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization’s performance, talent and leadership development programs and processes. To succeed in this role, you will have a comprehensive understanding of Vendasta’s partnering for performance program, which guides the agile performance management model and philosophy through evaluation, enablement and development of talent within the organization.
The Talent Development Manager owns and manages the performance evaluation tools, systems, and processes, which guide our leadership development training and programming. In this role, you will also develop and maintain relationships with leadership and key stakeholders across the organization to provide expertise and consultation to ensure performance and development programs foster growth and are aligned to drive business outcomes.
**The impact you’ll have**
- Performance Evaluation, Enablement, and Management_
- Ensures quarterly performance assessments and bi-annual managerial assessments are completed by all Team Members and Managers and all data is consolidated and analyzed.
- Manages all talent performance and development programs and activities in alignment with Vendasta’s Partnering for Performance Philosophy.
- Works with Managers to have crucial conversations and build and deliver performance improvement plans and carry-out terminations as required.
- Coaches and counsel employees on performance management, including developing action plans, implementing performance follow-ups, and delivering terminations.
- Leads teams and individuals through difficult situations, employee relations, mediating, and performance management issues.
- Facilitates a forward-thinking performance management process that promotes excellence and drives ongoing, multi-directional feedback.
- Continuously monitor and observe effectiveness of performance management programs & processes, provide feedback and suggestions for improvements.
- Stay up to date on new and best practices in talent performance and management, industry wide and beyond.
- Talent and Leadership Development_
- Administers Individual Development Plans (growth plans) encompassing training, deployment and completion across the organization.
- Partners with Learning team to ensure all talent and leadership development needs are met for the organization: VendastaLead, Vendasta Mentorship Program, Vendasta Leadership Academy
- Develops training to address talent competency and development gaps.
- Advocates for a coaching culture and is a key stakeholder in driving coaching tactics and programs aligned to the coaching philosophy at Vendasta. This includes one on one and group coaching where required to drive performance.
- Support managers in coaching, mentoring and developing employees through talent development and succession planning processes.
- Coaches leaders, managers, and high-potential employees in developing leadership capabilities and skills; sets up training, mentorship opportunities and ongoing development programs as need be.
**The value you’ll bring**
- 5+ years experience working in Human Resources or People Operations is preferred with 3+ years leading and developing teams.
- Human Resources degree and/or CPHR designation considered a strong asset.
- Coaching certification and/or designation is considered a strong asset.
- Successful track record of coaching, creating trust, and maintaining relationships at all levels.
- Ability to coach and provide guidance to leaders with varying experience and knowledge levels on best practices, employee relations, and applicable laws and regulations to minimize risks.
- Proven ability to work effectively & successfully in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan.
