OVERVIEW OF ROLE

We are currently hiring for a Policy and Program Advisor for 18 months, in the Strategic Policy area.

As a member of the Policy team, you will be accountable for providing senior policy advice, and expertise in the research, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs in alignment with FSRA’s strategic objectives.

Additional duties will include:
- Leading and/or contributes to the development of policy and program framework designs that meet FSRA’s objectives.- Undertaking all aspects of policy and program development, delivery, and evaluation, from research and analysis of trends and directions, issue identification and management, stakeholder consultations, impact analysis, reporting, and development of options and recommendations.- Providing sound policy advice on various aspects of the sectors that FSRA regulates (e.g., Auto/Property & Casualty Insurance, Life and Health Insurance, Mortgage Brokers, etc.) from policy development through to implementation and review cycles.

**Qualifications**:
Specialized Knowledge and Experience- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration or related field.- 3 to 5 years’ progressively responsible related experience in policy analysis and development.- Experience in and knowledge of the financial services market including current issues impacting financial services regulation and policy and trends and directions in the financial sector.

**Skills**:
- Knowledge and understanding of policy and program development principles, processes and techniques and government policy development and decision-making processes.- Knowledge of program analysis/evaluation techniques to assess new/changed policies and programs and to provide recommendations on policy and program quality, delivery, and accountability frameworks.- Strong research skills and ability to pro-actively gather and analyze information from disparate sources.- Project management skills.- Analytical, research and consultation skills are required to conduct environmental scans, research, and develop a range of reports, analysis, and studies.- Interpersonal skills to engage, develop and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships.- Ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously with mínimal supervision.- Exceptional writing skills and ability to summarize complex concepts quickly, clearly, and concisely for audiences at all levels.Job Posting End Date:
