**About CAO**:
The Canadian Arabic Orchestra is a professional charitable organization dedicated to connecting audiences with classical Arabic music while celebrating the freedom and diversity of Canada’s cultural landscape. The repertoire covers all parts of the Arab world and spans a time period that goes back to early Andalusia - sometimes with a Western Classical and Jazz twist. We help Canadians get in touch with the cultural roots of Arabic music.

**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the CEO, the Sponsorship Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for the sponsorships revenue stream.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop sponsorship strategy to support operational and project requirements of the organization. In this regard you will plan out what sort of sponsorships we need, identify target amounts, and come up with a plan to meet these targets. For example, if we are going on a Canada Tour, you may want to look for in-kind sponsors to provide transportation, airline tickets, etcFor FAMA, we would be looking for financial sponsorships.
- Prepare sponsorship proposals for prospective sponsors. While you may work with a standard template, each sponsor is unique and will need to be provided with materials to showcase the details of the sponsorship.
- Gather documentation and supporting materials for the sponsorship. You will be responsible to gather and collect information from the CAO and the sponsor to complete the transaction and fulfill the obligations of the sponsorship. For example, you will confirm that all marketing and payment materials have been exchanged accordingly and follow up with design, finance, and sponsor where necessary.
- Develop and manage relationships with sponsors. It is very important that you network, engage, and develop a retention strategy with current and potential sponsors. This strategy may include periodic communication on special dates, phone calls, or in-person visits when appropriate.
- Prepare generic contracts (templates provided) for sponsors, and receive approval before having it executed.
- Follow up with sponsors and provide any required reporting

**Minimum Requirements**:

- strong contributor in team environments
- proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook a must
- knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills
- good research skills and attention to detail

**Anticipated Time Demands**:
This is a remote, unsupervised work opportunity. You will plan your own schedule and work as necessary so long as you are meeting the obligations of the job. The following are additional time requirements:

- Must be available for weekly meeting to provide and receive feedback, align strategies, and receive information on programs and organizational activities
- Be present during events as ambassador of the organization and host of current sponsors. This is also a great opportunity to engage with potential sponsors

**Compensation**: to be negotiated based on experience

**Hiring Immediately**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Freelance
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$37.87 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
