A_ Project Manager, National Cultural Broker Project_. Reporting to the Manager of Newcomer Programs at Manitoba Possible, the Project Manager is responsible for project managing a two-year funded project, which is national in scope, namely “Cultural Brokers: Agents for Health and Wellness Equity for Newcomers, Along the Full Continuum of Settlement, Integration and Social Inclusion.”

**Your Role**

**Project Management**
- Responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of the 2-year funded project from inception through to completion.
- Responsible for managing the project partners, and processes, to deliver all elements of the project on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes, aligned to objectives, as agreed with the funder and project partners.
- Manages finances for the project, including but not limited to developing and managing forecasts, negotiating the budget, tracking and submitting expenses, developing claims, reporting to IRCC, Manitoba Possible and supporting partners as necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring the development and maintenance of project documentation including memorandums of understanding with project partners.
- Responsible for the formation of an advisory committee to guide and oversee the process of changing the Community Health Workers Network of Canada to an incorporated, national organization to support the work of cultural brokers including board recruitment and training, and development of bylaws, policies and procedures.
- Oversee membership engagement with a particular focus on urban and rural outreach.
- Administrative lead for the National Cultural Broker Project team meetings, Community Health Workers Network of Canada team meetings, as well as others.
- Supervision of the Digital Communications Coordinator, as well as support for the Digital Learning Network, and marketing and communications activities of the project.

- Prepares other related reports as requested.
- Performs special assignments and other related duties as assigned.
- Liaises regularly with project partners and funder.

**What You Know**
- Minimum of a postgraduate degree in social sciences with an emphasis in the areas of immigration, settlement, international studies, refugee, or health.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the settlement sector, working with diverse organizations and newcomer communities.
- Experience in project development and management, as well as funding proposal writing;
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting of large projects.
- Thorough understanding, and extensive experience of reporting processes involved in a project funded by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
- Thorough understanding of the work of Cultural Brokers in the disability, health and settlement sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of program development, including strategies and principles.
- Excellent people and networking skills.
- Egalitarian philosophy and non-judgmental attitude (i.e. gender, culture, race, sexual orientation, and other).
- Proven abilities in the areas of organizational skills, conflict resolution, advocacy, and group facilitation.
- Ability to work with Outlook with proficiency in Microsoft office including Power Point
- Familiar with digital meeting platforms such as Teams, Skype, Google Meet and Zoom.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule across Canadian time zones.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- French language skills would be an asset.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel.
