***KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Research and document all current grant programs Main Street Project is eligible for.
- Ensure grants are budgeted and managed effectively.
- Coordinate calls with current and potential funders to stay apprised of emerging opportunities.
- Keep current funders up-to-date and engaged with projects.
- Work with campaign team to meet all funding reporting requirements.
- Host tours, attend events to build government and stakeholder relations.
- Assist with the organization of special programs, initiatives and events.
- Help coordinate and facilitate community consultations and open houses on projects.
- Communicate and build relationships with community members, donors, coworkers and volunteers in a positive and responsive way.
- Maintain productivity standards and practices, effective time management and prioritization of work.
- Monitor and ensure grant compliance with all relevant regulations and granting criteria.

**SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in a relevant field or familiar through post secondary education in research, fact checking, writing documentation and validating information.
- Knowledge of project planning and implementation.
- Skilled communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with diverse individuals.
- Proven ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable building relationships with community, coworkers, donors, volunteers.
- Motivated, self-starting, detail-oriented and exceptional organization and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting fundraising initiatives or capital campaigns or similar an asset.
- Ability to work varying hours to accommodate committee meetings, special events, etc.

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary degree or diploma; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in grant management and administration, especially within nonprofit sector, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Excel and other MS programs is essential.
- Knowledge of the effects of poverty and the social determinants of health is essential.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture.
- Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma informed approaches and anti-oppressive frameworks.
- Knowledge of the principles of the TRC Calls to Action, MMIWG Calls to Justice, and UNDRIP.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record with clear Vulnerable Sector Search, and a clear Adult Abuse Registry Check required.
