**Job Title**: Planning & Development Manager
**Location**: Etobicoke Full-Time In-Office Position
**Salary Range**: $100,000 to $130,000

**Overview**:
**Primary Duties**:

- Manage planning approvals across the full lifecycle of development projects.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary consultant teams to meet project timelines.
- Review and coordinate responses to technical reports and drawings.
- Research and prepare planning summaries and reports for lenders and/or investment partners.
- Draft planning correspondence and cover letters.
- Build positive relationships with municipal staff, consultants, project stakeholders, and lenders.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, meeting minutes, and assist in updating budgets with the financial team.
- Stay updated on industry technologies, trends, and municipal standards.
- Lead the preparation of materials for, and attend public consultations and Committee/Council meetings as required.
- Oversee the preparation of RFPs from consultants and finalize approvals for onboarding.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to manage purchase orders and ensure budgets are up to date.
- Review and approve invoices against contracts and budgets.
- Maintain filing systems in accordance with company protocols.
- Delegate tasks to and supervise junior planning and development staff.
- Support various internal departments as needed.
- Conduct site visits as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 58 years of progressive planning experience, preferably in residential development.
- Post-secondary education in Urban Planning or a related field.
- Membership in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) as a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and project scheduling.
- Proficient in reading architectural, landscape, utility plans, and surveys.
- Comprehensive understanding of provincial and municipal planning policies and approvals in the GTA.
- Familiarity with appeal bodies like the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT).
- Experience with mid
- and high-rise residential, multi-use, urban in-fill, and commercial development is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom; exposure to modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up) is an asset.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor junior staff effectively.
