**role accountabilities**
- Manage and refine the ONE For Freight Route Definitions based on scheduling requirements and profitability.
- Establish and maintain rates and transit times by region in an accessible database.
- Leverage Carrier Partner volume to acquire reciprocal volume for the Asset Based Fleet (ABF) and other conveyances.
- Coordinate the inbound and outbound scheduling of the Asset-Based Fleet (ABF). Proactively communicate outgoing and incoming Professional Drivers to the Warehouse Team.
- Adhere to Route Definitions Training Guidelines
- Establish and maintain a North American Cost Index in conjunction with Brokerage and Intermodal.
- Support the profitability of other conveyances:
- Collaborate with Brokerage to Identify and target lanes of opportunity to enhance the Asset Based Fleet’s (ABF) footprint.
- Expand the Asset Based Fleet’s (ABF) availability to include regions beyond the reach of the Ontario-based resources by leveraging Intermodal transit times and out of market Carrier Partners.
- Diligently and efficiently follow service directives, instructions, and procedures communicated by the Innovation Lead.
- Regularly correspond with the Client to follow up on completed freight movements, solve complex service issues, address inefficiencies, and recommend opportunities for further growth and development of the client relationship.

**education, skills & attributes required**
Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or GED Equivalent
English Literacy; French Literacy an asset
5-10+ Years Experience - Brokerage Experience & Carrier Relations
5-10+ Years Experience - Transportation & Logistics Industry
5-10+ Years Experience - Employee Driver & Owner Operator Relations
Exceptional Oral & Written Communication Skills
Detail Oriented
Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field or an industry-related professional designation an asset
Strong understanding of the geography of Canada & USA required
Flexible Availability - Must be able to work in an ‘on-call’ environment for short periods (i.e. occasional ‘on-call’ status, late shifts, emergency response management, department coverage, as required by the Senior Leadership Team)
Strong time management skills required
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
