Hevvy/Toyo Pumps North America is a Canadian-owned pump manufacturing and distribution company located on the Fraser River in Coquitlam, BC. We are a family-owned and operated business that has been operating for over 40 years.

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Quality Assurance and Control Manager to lead our quality management endeavors, ensuring the utmost standards across our products and services. Your role will encompass overseeing every facet of our quality control system, from conducting vendor audits to spearheading ISO certification efforts. You will play a pivotal role in the development and enforcement of quality control policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards. Collaboration will be key as you liaise with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external quality assurance partners to uphold our quality objectives and reduce our total cost of quality.

Leading by example, you will support and guide our quality team members, fostering their growth and development. Armed with your expertise in quality management principles and regulations, you will analyze data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You are proficient in the ISO certification processes and vendor relationship management, you are poised to make a significant impact in our dynamic environment. Your strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be invaluable assets as we strive for excellence in quality assurance and control.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement robust quality control procedures and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality management system to monitor and improve product and service quality.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections, including vendor audits, to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Manage relationships with vendors and external quality assurance partners to ensure alignment with our quality objectives.
- Lead the ISO certification process, including preparing documentation, coordinating and conducting audits, and implementing necessary improvements to achieve and maintain certification.
- Manage and monitor the CAPA, SIP, and NCR processes
- Gather, Analyze and interpret data to improve product quality and report quality performance at Management Review Meetings.
- Coordinate outside third-party inspection requirements and in-house visits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to quality assurance and control staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in quality processes, products and parts.
- To promote continual cultural change and increase quality awareness across the whole spectrum of the organization and supply chain.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and control.
- Oversee the implementation and management of the quality assurance program across multiple sites, including but not limited to Coquitlam, Ogden, Indiana, Chile, and Peru, as well as key supplier locations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, incorporating relevant updates into the quality program.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Quality Management, Engineering, etc.); anced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and control, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience developing and implementing quality control procedures and systems.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and conducting vendor audits.
- Familiarity with ISO certification processes and requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, along with passion and tenacity to realize real improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
