**Quality Assurance Technician**

We need someone who:

- Monitor product safety and quality, production process and personnel GMP practice to ensure the compliance to established procedures (SOP’s), standards and requirements.
- Identify, report and investigate any deviation to procedure, system or standard and assist with implementing corrective actions and follow ups.
- Assist in the continual implantation and improvement of food safety programs such as HACCP and HACCP Prerequisite Programs.
- Perform various inspections (pre-Operational inspections, cleanliness inspection, room temperature monitoring, metal detection verification, building inspection).
- Perform GMP in-process quality control checks and inspection during manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Verifies label compliance and product weights.
- Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures.
- Ensuring that locations meet WorkSafe and provincial health and safety legislation requirements.
- Follow safe work practices and procedures as per company policies and procedures and Work Safe regulations.
- Complete other duties as assigned by QA Manager.
- College or University Degree in Food Science or science related discipline
- Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and other food quality & safety regulations is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations is highly desirable
- Competency in English: both oral and written.
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

**Schedule**:

- M-F 8-hour shift (12:30pm to 9:00pm / 1:30pm to 10:00pm)
- Working on Saturdays and Holidays may be needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
