**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**

The Recovery-Oriented Follow-Up Support Worker (FSW) engages with a designated caseload of clients navigating challenges to both stable housing and their recovery journey. These individuals require ongoing support services to foster independence within the community while advancing their recovery goals. A fundamental aspect of the Recovery-Oriented Follow-Up Support Worker's role is its proactive nature, anticipating and addressing potential hurdles before they escalate, thereby conserving emergency resources and nurturing a resilient housing environment for tenants, landlords, and the broader community. Moreover, the Recovery-Oriented Follow-Up Support Worker will:

- Provide client assessment, life-skills training
- Maintain landlord relationships and assist with tenant mediation
- Case co-ordination and works to mitigate crisis.
- Interact with clients in a caring, non-judgemental manner
- Monitor clients on a weekly basis and communicates concerns and recommendations to Manager
- Record client information in ETO and update daily
- Attends training as necessary
- Adhere to the principals of Housing First as described in the Recovery Orientated Housing Program Procedures manual
- Attend general staff meetings
- Any other related task or responsibility assigned by the Manager

**Position Qualifications**
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions, mental health, and marginalized populations.
- Demonstrated level of literacy and communication skills sufficient for job responsibilities
- An open, accepting, and non-judgmental attitude with an ability to build rapport with clients and landlords
- Valid First Aid with CPR certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Reliable transportation with 2 million vehicle liability insurance
- Knowledge of Edmonton’s housing market is considered an asset
- Basic understanding of the Landlord and Tenancy Act
- Diploma or degree in a human services field and 1 to 2 years’ experience working with a marginalized population

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $51,000.00 per year
