**About the role**:We are seeking a Admin assistant who is willing to get immersed in all things Human Resources. Under the general direction of the department director, the admin will complete a range of HR tasks and duties including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, HR administration. We are looking for someone that is analytical, detail-oriented, and is up for a dynamic environment This role is important because you will provide support and contribute to transforming JHS Ottawa’s people experience through Recruitment and Selection, reviewing data for key trends, and supporting employees.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- College degree in administration or equivalent experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the full recruitment cycle for internal/external postings from job requisitions to issuing employment contracts
- Setting up training in HR downloads, and CCDI, and ensuring training is completed
- Coordinate onboarding preparation and scheduling, and follow up as required
- Assist with the maintenance of a complete and accurate employee database
- Maintain and update HR documentation, databases, and files.
- Provide support to HR Lead and HR Director as required
- File audits
- Strong customer service approach and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task and shift priorities in a deadline-driven atmosphere
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
