APEX Heart Centre is a growing outpatient community cardiology clinic in the west end of Kingston offering on-site cardiac consultation and testing. We have a wonderful team of professionals dedicated to the career they love Currently we have two full-time cardiologists on staff, Dr. Tina Zhu and Dr. Margaret Cases, and searching for the ideal physician assistant to help increase patient flow. Must have cardiology background, with an interest in working as a Physician Assistant. This position is also open to IMG trained physicians with experience in Cardiology.
As a Physician Assistant you will play a crucial role in the collaborative healthcare team of specialists, nurses and other allied health professionals participating in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. The position reports directly to the cardiologists/owners, working under the direction of the cardiologists, and supported by medical directives and policies.
**Requirements**:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Ability to work in a busy clinical environment
- Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for clinical visits
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with patients, families and staff members
- Ability to work with an empathetic mannerism that effectively assists patient care
