_**Purpose of The Role**:_
Unio Tech Solutions offers a full range of IT services and special projects for medium and large sized companies throughout Canada and the USA. We work with clients such as Uber, Walmart, Sun Life Financial, Lowes, Allstate Insurance, Sephora, Intuit, Scotiabank and many other Fortune 500 companies. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to fill the role of Finance Clerk within our company in our Markham, Ontario office.
This is a full-time position. All work is done directly at our offices in Markham, Ontario.
- **Job Responsibilities Include**:_
- Entering financial transactions using Quickbooks.
- Enter daily postings on credit card charges.
- Enter daily postings of accounts payable invoices and vendor bills.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts and maintain general ledgers as required.
- Prepare various financial reports for executive team.
- Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments.
- Verify expense submissions from staff.
- Prepare bi-weekly staff payroll.
- Assists with input of payroll data, payroll processing, and associated remittances.
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal departments when there are vendor invoicing discrepancies and come to a resolution.
- Maintains electronic and paper filing systems.
- Preparation of client invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Prepare year-end documentation including T4s, T4As, and other financials for the accountant.
- Prepare HST Returns and other provincial tax remittances including Quebec.
- Managing inter-company accounts and ensuring they balance.
- Assist in preparing quarterly employer report filings for the various States in which we work as well as year-end documentation for the US company including W2's and 1099's.
- Prepare and submit Records of Employment.
- Oversee Worker's Compensation reporting for both Canada and USA.
- Liaise with both the US and Canada accountant as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent working experience with MS Office and Quickbooks.
- Experience with Provincial tax in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec.
- Experience with quarterly employer filings and annual reports in various US States (or a willingness to learn).
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- High degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail.
