: Office and Accounting Assistant

_StarforceHR is currently Hiring for their client located in Scarborough, which specializes in electronic e-waste recycling. We are currently looking for a self-driven, detailed, multi-tasking individual with a positive and professional attitude to join their team as an Office and Accounting Assistant._
- **Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:_
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers’ ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Generate reports weekly and as needed
- Process accounts receivable/payable and assists with handling payroll in a timely manner
- Coordinate with other departments to assist with their projects
- **Clerical Duties**:_
- Be the first point of contact for visitors.
- Manage orders and deliveries
- Data Entry in an independent software
- Monitor office and plant supplies.
- Take up other administrative duties as assigned (logistics, office, etc.)
- **Requirements**:_
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience min 1 year
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organized
- Ability to work as a team player and independently as required
- Experience with Sage is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Access is an asset
