**Job Title: Administrative Assistant for Busy Midwifery Practice**
**Location**: Collingwood, ON **Job Type**: 30-40hrs/week, flexibility available, wage $22-25/hr for a one year term with potential to extend

We are seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
**Position Overview**: As an Administrative Assistant at our busy midwifery practice, you will be responsible for a wide range of essential tasks to support our team of midwives and ensure the highest level of care for our clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of expectant parents and their families while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **General Reception Duties**: Greet and assist clients, answer phone calls, and provide a warm and welcoming environment for all visitors. Will also be required to efficiently manage appointment scheduling, ensuring accurate coordination of midwife availability and client preferences.
- **Supporting Midwives**: Assist midwives with administrative tasks, such as preparing client files, updating records, and organizing documents.
- **Stocking Room Supplies**: Monitor and replenish essential supplies in consultation rooms, birthing suites, and common areas.
- **Sterilize Birth Pools and Breast Pumps**: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by regularly sterilizing birth pools and breast pumps.
- **Scanning, Filing, Faxing, and Processing Medical Records**: Handle sensitive medical records in a confidential and organized manner, including electronic and paper documents.
- **Bookkeeping**: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as expense tracking, invoicing, and reconciling accounts.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administrative role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Comfortable with basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for helping others.
**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
