**Mountain Crew Shift Lead**

You will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure an efficient, effective, and professional Mountain Crew team, acting as the daily ‘captain’, you will ensure that the daily and weekly resort facilities, base area and terrain tasked are complete. You will be a visible, hands-on presence across the resort, working to provide our guests with the finest mountain recreational experience possible.

**You will**:

- Manage day-to-day operations and assign tasks to the Mountain Crew.
- Assist the Operations Administrator with seasonal hiring for Mountain Crew.
- Provide training and supervision to ensure all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe, efficient and responsible manner.
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance and safety directives are adhered to.
- Ensure daily vehicle log sheets and input forms (i.e. fuel) are completed accurately.
- Recognize and report any unusual equipment or machine noises to maintenance.
- Deliver departmental training and participate in resort orientation.
- Direct traffic and provide assistance to guests (building locations, conditions, special events, etc.).
- Ensure signs, ropes, gates and pylons are in place and maintained for guest and staff safety.
- Train, supervise and operate brushing equipment (brush saw, chain saw, weed whipper, mower) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ensure housekeeping and maintenance duties are completed (garbage removal, shipping, flower deadheading, watering, etc.).
- Ensure carts and contents are being delivered to Eagles Eye on schedule.
- Perform daily light maintenance (topping up fluids, cleaning interior and exterior, greasing, and fueling of machinery as needed).
- Act as a “Resort Ambassador” to guests by being familiar with various resort products and services.
- Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.
- Work extended & flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays in extreme weather conditions.
- Adhere and enforce to all environmental policies and programs as required.
- Coordinate with all departments to complete tasks.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

**You**:

- Have previous experience in a customer service, maintenance, construction, or related role.
- Hold a valid class 5 license with a clear driver’s abstract.
- Must be physically able to stand and turn, lift up to 30 pounds.
- Have a mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic operations and maintenance of equipment.
- Are familiar with small power tools (hand drill, etc.).
- This role will be exposed for brief periods to extreme weather conditions at the resort (snow, wind, cold, rain, bugs, heat) in isolated areas.
- Are team oriented, with a desire to make a positive contribution to the entire resort.
