About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Yurt Server to join our team at one of our mountain resorts. As a key member of our dining team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.



Job Description:


The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:



  • Taking and entering guest food and beverage orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Performing all cash handling duties, including opening, balancing, coin orders, and closing
  • Cleaning and stocking the dining area to maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation
  • Demonstrating a commitment to exceeding guest expectations on a daily basis
  • Providing information or assistance to guests regarding special events, conditions, locations, and products
  • Performing related duties as requested by Team Leads and Managers
  • Participating in seasonal open and closure procedures
  • Working flexible shifts with varying hours, primarily part-time between 24 to 40 hours per week, weather permitting


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:



  • Possess a Serving It Right or other responsible service of liquor certificate
  • Have previous experience in a customer service and cash handling role
  • Be proficient with Point-of-Sale software
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Be able to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions in a mountain environment
  • Be an intermediate to advanced skier/snowboarder, as you will need to access this mid-mountain location
  • Be comfortable operating a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer
  • Have previous food service or preparation experience – an asset
  • Hold a current Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 – an asset
