**Summary of responsibilities**:
The Advisor, Performance Programs is responsible for supporting the design and development of operations performance programs and coordinating their implementation, including national compliance, oversight, covert verification testing, open testing and/or quality assurance. The Advisor, Performance Programs performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

**What you need to succeed**

**To qualify for the position, you must have**:

- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in aviation security, performance measurement, international affairs, project management, business administration, public administration or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of three years of experience supporting the design and development of programs, and measuring KPIs;
- A minimum of three years of experience developing briefing notes, outlines, and program recommendations;
- Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to design successful programs;
- Knowledge of compliance/oversight/verification tools, techniques and practices.

- Ability to work under pressure on tight and sometimes changing deadlines and priorities;
- Ability to work independently;
- Excellent conceptualization, analytical and logic skills enabling comprehension and presentation of complex issues, topics and program plans;
- Initiative and creativity;
- Problem solving skills;
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

**Valuable skills include**:

- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation and regulations impacting CATSA;
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and the related regulatory and security issues;
- Project management and monitoring and evaluation skills;
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and principles;
- Experience conducting audits, security reviews and risk assessments.
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic computer system/ X-ray technical issues;
**Specific work requirements**
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Language Profile; Bilingual (BBBB)
