**You in this role**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sector Development, the ‘Lead - Waste and Water Sector’ supports FCM’s overall role as a national leading municipal association by promoting the adoption of technologies and practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve performance in the solid waste management and water management sectors. The Lead will take a leadership role in developing the GMF water sector strategy, balancing the needs of FCM’s diverse stakeholders and developing a pathway towards optimal environmental, social and economic benefits for Canadian communities. The Lead will also guide the implementation of the GMF waste sector strategy, and will be responsible for developing the network, funding approaches, and supporting knowledge and mobilization tools to support transformation of the municipal water and waste sectors towards more sustainable practices.

**What you’ll be doing**:
1. Responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement of GMF’s performance measurement tracking and reporting systems, including advising on indicator development, integrating metrics within GMF’s operations, reviewing procedures against best practices, and ensuring measurement alignment with broader organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Envisions and develops insightful data analyses and visualizations to support data-driven decision
- making, effectively disseminates performance information through updates to GMF leadership
- Accountable for the preparation of comprehensive results-related materials and presentations,

including performance reporting for corporate initiatives such as Annual Reports and Annual

Statements of Plans and Objectives (ASPO), and ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements

stated in the GMF Funding Agreement.

2. Leads preparation and execution of third-party audits and performance data analysis.
- Manages external assessments of GMF, including the Five-Year Review and Performance Audit, ad

hoc audits requested by the Government of Canada, and leads the development and implementation

of action plans to effectively address any recommendations received.
- Tracks operations and reporting process to ensure alignment and compliance with Strategic Plan

commitments, Funding Agreement Requirements, and GMF policies and procedures.

3. Supports the mapping and offer development efforts for GMF through data analysis, framing of impact
measurement for future offers, and creating and reviewing reporting methodologies and tools.

4. Maintains the PMF systems, including; data management strategy, data accuracy and completeness, designing, developing and implementing processes for data collection related to indicators; developing work plans and reporting pathways, developing technical requirements, and report writing.
