- **An Excellent Communicator **-You will be collaborating with our internal team and with executives from member organizations, the government, media, board members, and people who have an intellectual disability. Your communication style must be confident, reassuring, and clear.
- **An Experienced Writer** - You have excellent experience ensuring social media and communications content is written quickly and accurately and released in a timely fashion. Ideally, you will understand the principles of professional and plain language writing.
- **Independent **-You are self-motivated and manage your time well.As one of the key go-to people for all things marketing, you must be able to organize and reorganize your day to meet often conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- **Digitally Savvy** - You have worked with a multitude of online platforms to produce visually pleasing graphics and compelling content.

**The Position**

The Marketing Coordinator is critically important to CLO because they are responsible for creating relevant content across all digital and social media channels and growing our virtual presence. We are looking for an innovative designer to bring our organizational vision and priorities to life by enhancing CLO’s brand visuals across all platforms.

**What you will be responsible for**:

- Analyzing the effectiveness of the organization’s communication and marketing strategy
- Ensuring consistent messaging and brand image across the organization’s web platform
- Researches and develops new marketing initiatives, including direct mail, internet marketing, workshops, and advertisements
- Designing and managing social media posts to generate engagement and coordinating media photo opportunities
- Uses digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software to create designs
- Creates visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations to help deliver a message
- Designs internal and external communications such as flyers, invitations and resources for family and youth initiatives working in close partnership with various departments within CLO
- Engages with the communications, marketing, and fund development team to create the next great communications and/or fundraising/sponsorship campaign
- Produces eye-catching marketing materials to be used by the organization and member associations
- Uses photography and videography skills to create dynamic and creative visuals for CLO and manage a video bank system
- CLO contact for the Community of Practice group, ensuring the meetings and communications are executed monthly
- Holds the role of lead CLO contact for creative elements required for the CLO annual conference
- Responsible for CLO events calendar and provides technical support as needed
- Post-secondary degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Journalism, Design, or a combination of related education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in communications/marketing in a digital capacity
- Proficient in the use of desktop publishing technology in daily work (e.g., Microsoft 365), including document formatting, spreadsheets, and slide presentations
- Technical proficiency in coding and web design/maintenance is preferred, including WordPress and Google Analytics
