**Description**

Working closely with the Manager of Deal Processing, the **Compliance Administrator** will play a crucial role in ensuring all real estate transactions comply with FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre Canada) regulations and TRESA (Trust in Real Estate Services Act). This entry-level position involves working closely with our real estate agents and internal departments to maintain and enhance our compliance standards.

**What’s Involved**:

- Review past and current real estate transaction files to ensure compliance with FINTRAC and TRESA regulations.
- Oversee the trade files deemed medium-high risk and escalate files to the FINTRAC Compliance Officer for reporting.
- Receive and enable directions from the FINTRAC Compliance Officer and follow procedure as per the RAHR FINTRAC Compliance Policy and Procedures.
- Receive and enable directions from the Broker of Record and follow procedures as per the RAHR Brokerage Policy Manual and TRESA.
- Communicate discrepancies flagged by the Deals team to the agents, ensuring they rectify their trades.
- Collaborate with the branch management teams to assist with training and communication regarding non-compliance concerns.
- Communicate with the Deals and Accounting departments when the trade file is complete and ready to proceed to closing trade files.
- Stay informed about changes in FINTRAC and TRESA regulations and update internal processes accordingly in coordination with the FINTRAC Compliance Officer and the Broker of Record, and make recommendations to the Compliance Officer to continuously update the FNTRAC Policy and Procedures
- Report high-risk clients, suspicious transactions, large cash transactions and other voluntary reporting to FINTRAC in timely manner.
- Manage and review FINTRAC dashboard for clients deemed as high-risk and report to Compliance officer.
- Assist Compliance Officer with regular internal audits of real estate transaction files.
- Address compliance-related queries promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with agents and internal stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Talent Specs**:

- Previous role in compliance or collection’s role within real estate, banking, telecommunications, insurance, etc, an asset.
- Understanding of FINTRAC regulations is required.
- Proven customer service experience, ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Able to work in the office Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
