Front Desk Supervisor

Active Medicine Toronto (AMT) is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides medical and allied health services in sports medicine, orthopaedics and executive health.
AMT is centrally located in Yorkville, Toronto, near transit.
**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will oversee the daily front desk operations and supervise the front desk team while also performing front desk functions alongside your team. Your key responsibilities include:
- Open the clinic each day and ensure that all opening and closing procedures are completed daily.
- Supervise and mentor front desk staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality patient interactions.
- Schedule front desk staff to ensure proper coverage during clinic hours and peak times.
- Perform front desk tasks, such as patient scheduling, intake, and registration, in collaboration with your team.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits, ensuring optimal utilization of clinic resources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination and communication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
- Process payments and assist with billing and coding tasks, including insurance claim submissions.
- Oversee administrative functions, including inventory management, supply ordering, and facility maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, healthcare regulations, and privacy standards.
**Required Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a medical reception/administrative role is required, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Experience in orthopaedics or sports medicine is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and build positive relationships with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including privacy legislation.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, **7:30 am start**
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
