**About us**

Tavistock Community Health is community owned, a non-profit, primary health care clinic. We are also a part of the STAR Family Health Team. We’re a collaborative, health care team providing a full range of primary health care services and programs to the residents of Stratford, Tavistock, and region. We’re committed to sustaining and enhancing accessible, accountable, high-quality health care services in response to community needs.

We are currently looking for a Medical Office Manager to join our team.

**What will your work day look like?**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the medical office and technical support issues
- Conduct all hiring, orientation, training and development, performance management, discipline, recognition, terminations, etc. for office medical staff
- Health and safety, including WHMIS
- Ability to fill in at any position within the administration team
- Deal with patient relations and vendors
- Ensure that staff follow office policies and supporting team members in their roles and responsibilities
- Act as a liaison with physicians and other staff
- Order/purchasing office supplies
- Scheduling medical students and residents
- Assist with the development/modification and implementation of clinic policies
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the smooth running of the clinic

**What will you bring to the table?**
- Computer and Microsoft Office skills essential, experience in electronic medical records an asset
- At least one year of experience being a Clinic/Office Manager in a physician's office or medical clinic is an asset
- 3+ years of administration experience
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have excellent multitasking skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong memory skills as well as exceptional organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
