The West Nipissing General Hospital was built in 1977 and boasts a clean, modern facility, with over 100 beds in operation at any given time. The Hospital operates a 24/7 Emergency Department serviced by General Practitioners, visiting Surgeons, Anesthetists, and Internists.

The West Nipissing General Hospital hosts regular cardiology, urology, nephrology, otolaryngology, endoscopy, surgical lumps & bumps and psychiatry clinics and consultation visits by specialists. There exists an excellent referral relationship between West Nipissing General Hospital and the Regional Health Centre in North Bay and Health Sciences North in Sudbury. The West Nipissing General Hospital is the sponsoring agency for a community Mental Health and Addictions Program.

The West Nipissing General Hospital collaborates with the Ontario Telemedicine Network to provide consultations and follow-up visits with specialists. In addition, Ontario Telemedicine Network hosts numerous education events for both staff members and physicians. The West Nipissing General Hospital offers a satellite Oncology program through the Regional Cancer Program of Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre. Chemotherapy services are provided to the residents of West Nipissing

**Job Description**:
The Administrative Assistant provides executive support serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President, and supports the work of the Board of Directors and senior leadership team. The administrative assistant is tasked with handling communication, overseeing social media, and managing the website. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise excellent judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. This individual must have the initiative and ability to work independently on projects and be able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with scrupulous discretion.

Status: Permanent, Full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday

Language: Bilingualism (French & English) an asset

**Salary**: $27.02 - $32.43 per hour

**Qualifications**:

- Community College Diploma - Office Administration Program
- Five + years of administrative work in a health care environment
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and adaptability to various competing priorities
- Experience managing complex schedules, making travel arrangements and supporting high-level meetings
- Demonstrated very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, physicians, external partners and donors, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in crafting and handling professional correspondence
- Experience in handling communication, overseeing social media platforms, and managing a website is considered an asset
- Demonstrated capacity to anticipate needs, identify problems and proactively develop solutionsHighly resourceful, contributing team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Excellent attendance record
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing banking and financial reports
- Bilingualism (French and English) an asset
