This position reports to the Sr. Director, Potash Strategy and is responsible for developing and supporting strategic priorities and initiatives through analysis and recommendations. They will work collaboratively and cross-functionally within the potash business unit and enterprise wide.

**What you will do**:

- Independently drive insight and recommendations from complex and ambiguous information
- Work cross-functionally within the Potash business unit to impact and create value-added initiatives that contribute to business performance which includes developing a pipeline of ideas, assisting in prioritizing, tracking, and facilitating meetings to track the status of ideas and in-flight initiatives
- Research, compile, analyze, and interpret competitors’ business models, cost structures, market data through internal sources such as Nutrien’s Market Research team, Investor Relations team, Potash Business Unit team, as well as external contacts to support the Potash strategy
- Research, compile and analyze other agricultural and non-agricultural related businesses and sectors for possible growth opportunities
- Communicate the progress on Potash strategy implementation for multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Sr. Advisor, Potash Strategy to provide thoughtful analysis on Potash strategic decisions by using probabilistic scenarios and lead the strategy implementation
- Prepare drafts of memorandums, status memos, presentations and reports for the Potash Leadership Team
- Assist with developing and maintaining the Potash Strategy Playbook which details cross functionally each team’s responsibilities for strategy implementation
- Work effectively within a small, highly accountable team; display a flexible “can do” attitude and willingness to help out where required
- Manage to deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexities
- Maintain confidentiality and use judgement on when and to whom to share information with
- Be enthusiastic, curious, have an ability to look at issues from multiple angles and have a strong desire to learn

**What you will bring**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related area and post-graduate designation such as a CFA, CPA or MBA in Strategy, Finance, Marketing or similar
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, which includes knowledge of the fertilizer industry
- Knowledge of equity markets and how to strengthen shareholder value
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
- Led or participated in a project with cross-functional project teams, multiple deliverables and using project management techniques
- Exceptional analytical skills, good with numbers, the ability to both go deep and retain big picture thinking
- Thorough demonstration of the ability to have an impact on others, reach alignment and facilitate action
- Active listener with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter requiring little supervision
