**About the Role**

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer to lead our Civil Engineering services on major projects. As a key member of our Mining & Minerals business group, you will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for delivering high-quality Civil Engineering solutions.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil Engineering, with eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • 15 years of experience in earthwork, buried, and surface run utilities.
  • Tailings/slurry piping layout design experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to work in both design office and operating plant environments.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and design personnel.
  • Experience in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing of ditches, culverts, and ponds.
  • Good understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controls.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs.
  • Experience in interpreting geotechnical & hydrology reports.
  • Engineering experience in private fire protection systems.
  • Excellent organizational, technical, and computer skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of general civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods.
  • Experience with Civil 3D software would be an asset.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
