At S. Kritzer Professional Corporation, we are a trusted and professional accounting and tax firm specializing in Canadian and US cross-border tax services. We pride ourselves on delivering premium, personalized service to our clients. As a growing firm, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our operations in-person at our Calgary location located next to Mount Royal University.
**Position overview**
We are seeking a motivated and reliable **Part-Time Administrative Assistant** to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including tasks critical to the tax preparation process. This is a part-time position with the possibility of increasing to full-time work at a future date.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain accurate client records and organize files in our secure system.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with clients.
- Scan and organize client documents related to the tax preparation process.
- Prepare and manage documents for meetings and filings.
- Support bookkeeping and invoicing tasks, as needed.
- Handle general administrative & ad hoc tasks to streamline the firm’s processes.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Experience handling confidential client information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with accounting or tax software is a bonus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
**Schedule and Hours**:
- Throughout the year, 15-20 hours per week can be expected.
- During the peak tax season (March and April), hours may increase to 20-30 per week to accommodate a higher volume of work.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working in a professional setting such as an accounting, legal, or financial services firm.
- Familiarity with document management systems or workflows related to tax preparation.
