Fleet Service Supervisor

Northgate Industries Ltd.’s Fleet Service Supervisor will be responsible for handling our company's ongoing fleet services. You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting & preparing status reports, and establishing effective communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans. As well will facilitate full life-cycle supervision of all of Northgate’s Industrial modular inventory and motor vehicle inventory from acquisitions and distribution (including licensing, decaling, and installation of accessories) through to disposal of unit. This position will report to the Director of Operations.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Facilitates full life-cycle management of all of Northgate’s Industrial modular inventory and motor vehicle inventory from acquisitions and distribution (including licensing, decaling, and installation of accessories) through to disposals
- Ensures all fleet vehicle and industrial modular inventory information (assignments, location etc.) is tracked and maintained
- Ensures annual registration & insurance is processed, tracked, updated, and distributed (CVIP, Boom Inspection, Non-Destruct testing etc.)
- Monitors and flags annual vehicle inspections / certifications (CVIPS) and takes the appropriate actions necessary to ensure completion
- Tracks spare, idle, and surplus fleet; ensuring each is managed accordingly
- Supports field personnel in maintenance/repair inquiries
- Supports Service personnel (B-Line) in maintenance/repair inquiries
- Manages Fleet list to ensure accuracy, reliability, and trust in the report
- Analyzes fleet list for utilization based on equipment type and suggests highly utilized inventories that should be expanded
- Analyzes fleet to suggest end of life disposals when unit is beyond Northgate’s leasable condition
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of installation and demobilization processes, ensuring all equipment is safely and efficiently handled during setup and removal phases
- Prepares accurate trucking estimates for transportation of modular and fleet assets, considering route logistics, fuel, and labor costs to support project budgeting
- Coordinates and schedules service work, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections, to maximize fleet availability and minimize operational downtime
- Provides renovation estimates for fleet and modular assets, evaluating necessary upgrades to meet Northgate’s operational and client standards
- Oversees the overall progress and quality of the renovation line, managed by the lead hand, and monitors quick turnaround repairs in the service shop to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality service
- Oversees and manages subcontractors for outsourced services, ensuring adherence to Northgate’s quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines
- Ensures compliance with company vehicle policies and assists with development and implementation of new policies
- Responsible for generating reports on health status of fleets, and other ad hoc reporting
- Assists with the process of recording and resolving all accidents involving fleet vehicles, including the facilitation of insurance claims
- Actively looks for gaps in vehicle & equipment related information and data and uses though logic to correct discrepancies
- Elevates issues to management if/when necessary
**REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in Modular Leasing and Construction.
- Ability to lead teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Understanding of ERP implementation.
- Budget management experience.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty mobile and modular equipment
- Experience with reporting and tracking using excel is an asset
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Microsoft Office: Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
