**Position Description**

The Liaison Officer will report to the Manager, Project Management and will work closely with the assigned Project Team(s) and the Project Management Office (PMO) team members. This position is for an organized, efficient, and communicative liaison officer to coordinate between Egale and other entities including business clients, community organizations, partners, and individuals.

This role will be primarily responsible for connecting organizations signed up for the 50-30

Challenge with resources, services and events offered by Egale, collaborating partners and the other 50-30 Challenge Ecosystem partners.

Additionally, this role will collaborate with colleagues and leaders in other departments to support community engagement activities across the project portfolio.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

**50-30 Challenge Project - 70%**
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the 50-30 Project, as well as an understanding of how the Ecosystem functions and the resources available to Challenge participants.
- Serve as the primary contact for Challenge participants.
- Document, track and triage support requests received via the 50-30 help desk.
- Assist with creating roadmaps for Challenge participants to progress through their 50-30 journeys.
- Maintain up to date records of contacts, activities, and progress.
- Participate in 50-30 Project meetings, working with the internal team and external collaborators.
- Contribute to funder and management reports as needed.
- Serve as an ambassador of the 50-30 Challenge and its goals.

**General - 30%**
- Develop and foster relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other entities.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve relationships and deliverables.
- Compile reports about incidents, events, or updates about an important issue for the business.
- Proactively solve conflicts and address issues.
- Support community engagement activities as required.
- Work with other staff members to develop a greater understanding of Egale and the larger 2SLGBTQI sector.
- Participate in PMO team meetings and contribute to the department’s goals.
- Act as a positive representation of Egale to the community.
- Advocate for community needs.

**Qualifications**

**Education and Experience**:
An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or lived experience will be considered.
- University degree required in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Human Resources, Project Management, Communications).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a B2B communications role with a proven track record of service excellence.
- Experience with vendor and team relations and excellent presentation, communication, change management, prioritization and writing skills is a requirement.
- Experience with strategic planning and operational transformation is an asset
- Experience with Smartsheet and MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Experience in the non-profit and social sector (within the 2SLGBTQI community is an asset).
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.

**Knowledge, Abilities and Skills**:
Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization (EDID) principles, and a strong understanding of anti-racism and anti-oppression framework.

A strong understanding of, and familiarity with, 2SLGBTQI communities.
- 3+ years B2B customer service experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident ability to lead, collaborate, triage, and make decisions in a fast
- paced, changing environment.
- Shown strength in EQ (emotional intelligence) as well as analytical and problem
- solving skills.
