Reporting to the Executive Director, Registrarial Services, the Manager, Student Recruitment is responsible for the effective design, execution, and evaluation of student recruitment strategies and related marketing/advertising initiatives designed to attract prospective students to Conestoga. The primary goal of the position is to ensure Conestoga meets its domestic enrolment targets by generating a strong applicant pool of qualified students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads the planning, development, and implementation of all domestic student recruitment activities, including secondary and post-secondary school, community, agency visits, and presentations, the College Information Program, the Ontario College Information Fair, on-campus open house events, the campus tour program, and other on-campus engagement initiatives targeting key influencers (e.g. guidance counsellors, parents, and supporters)
- Provides leadership, direction, training, expertise, and motivation to the College staff in the areas of domestic student recruitment, event and tour planning, and coordination; The areas are comprised of eight full-time Recruiters, one seasonal contract Recruiter, a full-time and part-time Event and Tour Coordinator
- Collaborates with the Academic Chairs, Executive Deans, and with other College service areas to develop and implement recruitment and marketing strategies to assist all divisions of the College to attain their goals
- Manages recruitment season pre-planning, to ensure all Liaison Officers are equipped with the same message and materials to meet recruitment goals and objectives
- Leads the recruitment team in planning and hosting on-campus events to engage guidance counsellors and provide them with experiential opportunities
- Evaluates the effectiveness of recruitment activity by analysing available research data (e.g. OCAS, ezRecruit CRM database, Student Information System (SIS), and other internal college reports) to adapt/develop recruitment plans including the services offered to targeted schools and agencies, participation in fairs, and the use of technology (such as webinars, social media, text messaging, lead generation, and CRM tools)
- Responsible for identifying metrics and benchmarks to continually evaluate and improve recruitment strategies including post-implementation review of recruitment lead generation, recruitment territory definitions, and conversion activities
- Manages the recruitment-related marketing budget ensuring sound financial planning and budget control systems are in place to maximize return on marketing investments
- Develops and maintains the annual recruitment communication plan targeting prospective students and guidance counsellors
- Leads the development of recruitment presentations and promotional materials (academic calendar, degree brochures, etc.) that address the needs of various prospective student audiences (direct, non-direct, mature students, etc.)
- Responsible for CRM campaign reporting, training, and business process development
- Defines the communication strategy for guidance counsellors and leads the development of printed and digital communications that inform guidance counsellors about Conestoga programs, events, and admissions-related information (Guidance Update, Dialogues Communications, CRM campaigns)
- Works collaboratively with other College departments such as Admissions, Registrar’s Office, Academic Chairs, and Executive Deans to promote all programs and services
- Maintains an internal information network with Administration, Academics, International Education, and Student Support services to foster support for recruitment activities and remain abreast of policies, procedures, and process changes
- Interfaces with key external vendors (OCAS, CRM vendor - ezRecruit, Trade Show and Display vendors etc.) to benchmark and leverage best practices

Qualifications:

- Four-year Degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations or equivalent field of study is required
- Seven years experience of management/supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, motivate, empower, develop staff, prepare work plans, establish meaningful priorities and maintain high quality of service; Also experience with recruitment, training and assessment of staff
