**OVERVIEW OF POSITION**

Impact Kitchen’s **Culinary Team Manager on Duty (MOD)** position is a supervisory role in the Back of House (kitchen) department. The primary responsibility of every MOD is to ensure all aspects of service run smoothly and according to Impact Kitchen’s standards of excellence. Our Back of House MOD position oversees and works alongside the Dishwasher, Hot Cook, and Service Line Cook positions with the goal of delivering great food, minimizing waste, and adhering to Food Safety standards. All MODs are expected to role model Impact Kitchen’s brand and values and support their Restaurant Management Team in generating excellent staff culture and ensuring high guest satisfaction.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
- Able to execute all Back of House positions in order to support a smooth service
- Set a positive tone by leading the staff shift huddles while regularly communicating with the Restaurant Management team
- Manage guest relations and ensure the highest standards of food quality & food safety as set in place by Impact Kitchen's food quality control
- Resolve concerns or comments with timely follow-up and ensure proper communication and handover to Restaurant Management as needed.
- Ensure all opening and closing shift duties are completed according to Impact Kitchen protocol, contributing to daily reports, manager checklists, and manager log books as appropriate.
- Conduct above and beyond training for relevant team members, ensuring a top-tier experience.
- Oversee all Back of House operations throughout service
- Address cleanliness issues, safety issues, repairs and maintenance as needed
- Delegate checklist items and manage labour based on business volume
- Facilitate meal breaks
- Maintain regular communication & check-ins with the Front of House or Back of House team throughout service
- Support an inclusive and safe work environment
- Resolve internal concerns, provide coaching, and escalate to the Restaurant Management team as needed
- Understand & follow all WSIB and Incident Reporting procedures
- Lead by example & be an ambassador of the Impact Kitchen brand, standards, dress code, and operating practices

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 2 years restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully and lead others
- Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices
- Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business requires
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
- Work Permit required
- Preferred but not required: Food Handlers Certification
- Preferred but not required: 1 year supervisory experience
