**Purpose**:
**Education**:
College diploma in Digital Media or Film or Graphic Design or Communications, or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
Three (3) years recent and related experience in designing a variety of printed and online marketing and communication products, capturing and editing video and photography. Experience in a postsecondary environment an asset.

**Skills**:
Skill(s) required:
Ability to bring conceptual skills, creative thinking, and strong design abilities to all projects.
Ability to take creative initiative when given a rough concept.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Ability to coordinate, create and deliver collateral/assets from concept to distribution/publication.
Demonstrated skills in sourcing, creating, and optimizing appropriate and engaging content for a variety of digital platforms including advertising.
Ability to develop related communities and networks.
Proven analytical, interpretive, and conceptual skills.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with others and ability to deal courteously and effectively with people.
Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure of high volume.
Proven judgment and initiative.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality. Technical Skill(s) required:
Adobe Creative Software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro Studio (Intermediate)
Demonstrated proficiency in Premier or After Effects (Intermediate)
Demonstrated proficiency in Wordpress (Advanced) to create and maintain websites
Experience and competency in Search Engine Optimization best practices and implementation
MAC OS, Microsoft Office Suite including Word (Intermediate), Excel (Introductory) and PowerPoint (Introductory)
Google Analytics: social media publishing and listening tools (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Falcon, Sysomos, etc.)
Knowledge of web accessibility and ability to create AODA-compliant websites and documents.
