**Job Summary**

The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for supporting the human resources team during the full cycle hourly recruitment process, aiding with salary recruitment, and assisting with all marketing activity.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Support all internal recruitment activity
- Posting for vacant positions both internally and externally
- Arrange and support leadership with interviews
- Assisting with job offers, and ensuring all necessary associated administrative tasks are completed and new positions are communicated to essential individuals
- Support with co-op program
- Contact academic institutions for job postings as appropriate times throughout the year
- Review resumes for co-op positions and schedule with schools for interview times
- Support Recruiter with follow-up/engagement activities
- Assist Recruiter with salary hiring; phone interviews, first interviews, first interviews, if needed, second interviews
- Participate in first interview and coordinate assessments with external company
- Support with onboarding activities
- Analyze recruiting data; examine turnover, suitability assessment success rates, and identify trends
- From data, implement kaizens to develop recruiting process; determine what improvements need to be made, and how they will positively affect full cycle recruitment
- Utilize data to identify trends and carry out improvements to minimize new team member turnover
- Lead/ Assist with special projects associated with Recruitment/ HR activities
- Support recruitment team with boots, safety glasses forms etc.
- Support assessment activity
- Responsible for maintaining good 5S in the recruitment room and lobby
- Responsible to participate in job fairs and other events (often evenings and weekends)
- Support follow up with team member call ins

**Job Qualifications**

**_ Education_**
- College diploma/University Degree
- CHRP Designation; or working towards

**_ Experience_**
- 1-2 years’ experience in a recruiting role

**_ Skills and Abilities_**
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail orientation when producing data and reports
- Ability to adapt to changing demands of production manpower and team member issues
- Actively listen to fellow recruitment team member concerns or issues that arise
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to speak in front of groups of people, and ability to effectively communicate information with varying levels of individuals (both team members and management groups)
- Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving
- Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks
- Manage time efficiently while working on several different tasks at once

- Must have a valid driver’s license
