**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Quickbooks desktop experience including Payroll, time sheets etc.
- Administer Group Health and Dental Benefits
- Experience with progressive and manual billing
- Accounts Payable: Enter vendor purchase orders and invoices, credit card receipts and reconcile credit card statement, processing payments, generating expense reports, and setting up new vendors, cheque runs
- Accounts Receivable: Generating invoicing, tracking deposits, reconciling monthly bank statement, PO invoicing, job costing and setting up new Customers
- Preparing and submitting government remittances such as WSIB, EHT and source deductions
- GST/HST reports and remittances
- Setting up EFTs and wire transfers
- Data entry into accounting system including receipts, vendor POs, vendor invoices, customer invoices, customer payments etc.
- Create and maintain accounting files; prepare financial and accounting reports, maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Assist external accountant to complete corporate year end statements
- Answer and direct a low level of inbound phone calls
- Post journal entries
- Prepare trial balance
- Match vendor invoices to purchase order and goods receipts in a timely manner and process payment, ensuring accuracy of data
- Respond to external and internal enquiries on outstanding invoices, missing cheques or remittances
- Communicate with Management, employees, vendors and professionals (Accountant, etc.)
- Excellent organization skills and able to multi task
- Proficiency with Microsoft and MS Office Apps

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post secondary accounting diploma and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Broad exposure to accounting in a manufacturing environment is a benefit
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communications skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good organization, time management and prioritizing skills
- Must be bondable
