**WHAT IS THE JOB?**

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this HR Project Coordinator will support the OHSC (“Occupational Health & Safety Committee”) in bringing key elements of the OHSC and safety program into compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements. The function of this role will be to research, prepare, revise and present Safety Program elements to the OHSC for review and consideration to ensure program compliance and to enhance the organization’s safety offering to employees.

This is a 2-month fulltime contract beginning March 27th, 2023. Our organization is one of BC's Top Employers and has a flex day schedule that essentially offers every second Friday off.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Attend 1-day training on OHSC responsibilities. Coordinate annual review of the OHSC.
- Research, organize and post safety OHS related documentation, content, and resources on the organization’s intranet, including items mandated by WorkSafeBC.
- Research metrics and records i.e., training records that need to be kept and/or circulated as mandated by WorkSafeBC. Build process and templates for these records.
- Source and/or create safety related templates and forms including facility inspection forms.
- Review current visitor safety orientation; propose and implement improvements to visitor safety.
- Coordinate initiatives related to earthquake awareness, fire drills etc.
- Support the OHSC in improving worker and departmental representation within the committee.
- Review current home workspace safety documents and review process for compliance.
- Other OHSC and safety related tasks as assigned.

**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- High school diploma is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 1+ years of relevant experience supporting a Human Resources team and the OHS function.
- Prior relevant workplace safety training would be an asset.
