**HR Business Partner**

We are looking for a professional HR person who is well-rounded with all aspects of programs that support employees. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions. You’ll partner with a cross-functional group to design and execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain, and organize work.

In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to the business, providing coaching and counsel to functional stakeholders on HR solutions, revenue, and growth. You will create and refine existing programs that support people managers and individual contributors. You will have two people reporting directly to you but also be responsible for supporting daily HR as well.

**What you will be doing**:

- Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Supporting daily HR initiatives by solving problems, getting to the root cause of any issue and implementing change where appropriate.
- Design and implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.
- Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, workplace safety, recognition programs, and strategic development.
- Provide support in all areas of HR Operations to all levels of employees.

**What you have**:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline and considerable experience in progressively more senior HR positions.
- Experience leading people and demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement projects that support engagement and retention.
- Extensive experience and applied knowledge with HR policies and practices, collective agreements and related employment legislation in British Columbia.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities fast-paced environment and prioritize, plan and execute on assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to function independently as well as work within a team.
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgment, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
