**Position Title: Finance/Office Assistant**

**Responsible to: Finance/Office Manager and Executive Director**

**Summary of Position**

The Finance/Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the business activities of Rail City Industries Inc. The Finance/Office Assistant works closely with the Finance/Office Manager & ED; provides finance & administrative support and other duties as requested by ED and or Board members.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger
- Assist in ensuring accurate and timely issuance of transactions
- Assist in monthly bank reconciliation
- Assist the Finance Manager in yearly audit.
- Order office supplies for the organization
- Provide support to staff as needed
- Assist in managing client’s accounts

**Media Management**
- Social media handling
- Local SEO - Google my business account
- Website handling
- Google analytics
- Google search console

Accountability and Reporting

The Finance/Office Assistant is accountable to the Finance/Office Manager & ED of Rail City Industries.

**Education and Experience**
- A recognized diploma, certificate or course in the area of administrative services, computers and bookkeeping.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office
- A significant combination of training and experience in information systems and accounting practices and payroll.
- Experience and knowledge in using Sage accounting software
- Must submit to criminal records check and vulnerable person’s check upon acceptance of employment.

- Demonstrates proficient bookkeeping skills, accounting practices and principles

**Job Type**: Part-time
