**What you'll do**:
The Accounting Analyst reports to the Controller and provides support to both Managers of Accounting with the following responsibilities:

- Support month end processes and notify system users when monthly financial reports are available for review; Assist with correcting journal entries if required.
- Assist with Monthly Forecast preparation including preparing and completing financial and workforce changes, notifying budget owners/managers of deadlines and provide support.
- Assist with Budget preparation from June through to August, utilizing budgeting and forecasting system.
- Assist with Quarterly Forecast planning, including preparing the system with financial and workforce data, budget inputter support and financial reporting preparation.
- Assist with year end and audit processes including working paper preparation, accrual calculations, financial statement preparation and consolidated schedules.
- Assist Controller with preparation of Summary Financial Statement information.
- Compile information using general ledger and financial reports and online portals for federal quarterly cash flow reports.
- Compile and submit other Provincial and Federal Financial Reporting including, but not limited to administration provincial invoice vouchers.
- Assist with other reports for Executive and the Board of Directors.
- Support Controller with Capital Assets schedules using SCiConnect (Cloud ERP System).
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this position you will need a degree in accounting with one-year of relevant accounting experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures in order to perform budgeting, forecasting and accounting functions.
- Analytical thinking skill set to appropriately analyze data and build reports.
- Written communication skills to generate documentation inclusive of, but not limited to, processes and procedures as a result of migrating to an ERP Cloud system.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel and accounting software to provide accurate and timely financial statements.
- Organizational and attention to detail skills, enabling accurate information and timely engagement with financial management processes.
- A criminal record check is required.
