Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Mississauga office is looking for a new Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our Customs Brokerage team.
** Your Role **:As the customs clearance coordinator, you will handle the day to day ownership and management of accounts within their alpha group. You will oversee the review, transmission of both across and cadex. as well as finalize billing to our customers. You will report to the Customs Supervisor.
** Your Responsibilities**:

- Position may require a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and not limited to working a holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and requirements of the account.
- Liaise with clients, freight forwarders and other agents to ensure an efficient and smooth transaction.
- Ensure all Customs declarations are compliant with applicable government regulations.
- File break/down, classifying data entry, photocopying, Scanning and some assembling of entries.
- Daily follow up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers And foreign origins.
- Read and follow client notes, SOP as well as any and All updates necessary to process in a timely and Compliant manner.
- Make the customer care representatives aware of any occurrences that may prevent the compliant release of any goods.

**Your Skills and Experiences**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.
- Certified Customs Specialist or grandfathered from original CSCB certification program with a minimum 10 years of direct Canadian Customs Tariff classification experience.
- Experience with all modes of transport, air, truck, rail and ocean is a plus.
- In depth working knowledge of local country customs and trade regulations and processes with a good working knowledge of the principles of international trade with relevant industry experience e.g. forwarder, integrator, broker etc
