**Title**:Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

**Reports to**: Director of Operations

**Summary**

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations, in cooperation with another Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, in planning and overseeing the Camelot Golf & Country Club Food and Beverage department to facilitate the delivery of high-quality food and beverages and exceptional customer service.

**Job Duties**
- Actively lead shifts, with the support of the Director of Operations, support fellow restaurant and banquet servers, bus persons and greeters in the restaurant and banquet hall
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests in the restaurant and patio area: communicating about specials, menu, and drink items, taking orders, using point-of-sale system, serving food and beverages, clearing, cleaning and sanitization of tables, chairs, condiments, etc.
- Ensure member and guest satisfaction, respond to feedback and/or concerns from guests and communicate with senior leadership
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating integrity, discipline and inspiration to the team
- Assist, supervise and delegate required tasks for the day to prepare for service and/or events under the direction of the Director of Operations
- Maintain proper cleanliness and safety at all times, ensure all staff are following procedures, including proper food handling procedures, COVID-19 safety measures, proper alcohol service, and employee health and safety protocol
- Notify senior management of any missing or low stock of required items
- Assist Director of Operations with training, planning, scheduling and directing work for the day-to-day operations
- Assist Director of Operations with updating POS (point-of-sale) systems and programming
- Tracking monthly inventory and weekly ordering requirements with the support of the Director of Operations
- Performs other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or 3+ years of direct work experience in a Food and Beverage management position
- Smart Server certification.
- Previous accounting experience/education would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, tenants, clients, government officials and other external contacts.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure and ability to manage various projects at the same time.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Knowledge of local and federal regulations and ordinances.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous records maintenance skills.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good financial and business awareness.
- Bilingualism, French and English considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

**Working Conditions**
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
