_Cumberland General store is a small business in Cumberland, BC V0R 1S0._

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Clerk/Cashier. As a representative of the business, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, stocking aisle and ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Greet and Assist Customers & answer and related questions
- Operate the cash register, accept payments, and provide accurate change.
- Stock and Organise merchandise selves, ensuring availability of products such as snacks, beverages, hot food and convenience items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gas station, such as restrooms, fuel islands, and store areas.
- Follow Safety Protocol and ensure the well-being of other staff, yourself and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily tasks, sales target and a positive workspace.
- Cook, wrap, and/or label food prepared in our kitchen for our Hot Deli (chicken, mojos, sausage rolls etc.) and our Cold Deli (Sandwiches, wraps, cookies and muffins).

**Requirements**:

- Previous Customer Experience is Preferred, but Not Required.
- Excellent Communication and Interpreting Skills.
- Ability to Work in a Moderately High-Paced Environment
- Basic Math Skills to Accurately Operate Cash Register.
- Physical Stamina to Stand for Long Periods, Bend, and Lift up to 20 Pounds.
- Positive Attitude, Team-Oriented Mindset, and Willingness to Assist Fellow Colleagues.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
