**Description**:
A House Attendant in our Housekeeping Department is responsible for providing clean, public spaces, delivering any requested items to guest rooms and providing support to our Room Attendants and Guests all in accordance with established Marriott Brand Standards. House attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests as they arise.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning of all public areas and washrooms.
- Responding to guest requests in a timely manner and maintaining excellent guest satisfaction.
- Supporting Room Attendants by assisting with Room Stripping and linen and supplies delivery as required.
- Ensuring all laundry bags and garbage/recycling bags are removed from floors to housekeeping department and dispersed to appropriate areas.
- Maintaining proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Reporting necessary maintenance items for repair to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Following all Health and Safety Guidelines and at all times practicing safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury, reporting hazards, appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and working to minimize tripping or other hazards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Uniform and appearance must be kept clean and professional and in accordance with the Marriott’s guidelines and grooming policy for uniformed associates.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to lift, carry or pull up to 50 lbs
- Physical motions: walking, bending, standing, reaching and kneeling
- Work environment : exposure to chemicals

**Qualifications & Skill Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar position at a comparable hotel property an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $21.55 per hour
