**Position Summary**
Student-centric, proactive, comprehensive, and coordinated communications with students is critical to the populations we serve. Reporting to the Director, Student Community and Engagement (SCE) and working closely with the Strategic Communications Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of projects and related initiatives as outlined in the SCE Communications Plan. This position acts as a central point of contact for communications projects among the SCE teams to ensure continuity as well as between SCE and the Student Experience and Success (SES), Marketing and Communications teams to ensure all communication activities and programs foster a positive message to students, staff and faculty, enhance the understanding, and raise awareness of SCE’s vision, mission and activities. The incumbent will ensure all promotional initiatives remain on schedule and have met institutional requirements.

Guided by principles of retention, engagement and student success, this position will take an active role in supporting SCE initiatives such as pre-arrival, transitions and alumni modules for all domestic and international students as well as pre-departure and post-experience modules for internationally-minded students travelling abroad. The incumbent will coordinate the process of collecting and disseminating information for bi-weekly student newsletters and monthly staff newsletters among other media.

In addition, the incumbent provides the Director, Student Community and Engagement, SCE Managers and leads in the Marketing and Communications Department with metrics and analysis reports for various engagement strategies. The incumbent will assist with preparation of presentations, speaking notes and content for college-wide notifications for the SCE team and ensure all outputs are consistently branded with Centennial College’s logo, colours and other core messaging requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Develops, implements, promotes and evaluates integrated, multi-channel digital engagement plans to increase awareness of, and engagement with, SCE programs and services toward positive student outcomes
- Designs graphical assets and other creative collateral to augment engagement/promotional initiatives
- Coordinates all digital engagement projects to ensure they come in on-time and on-budget
- Acts as the SCE lead for the enhancement of SCE sections on myCentennial, StudentHUB, the Intranet and the website to promote programs and services and be reflective of Divisional and College objectives
- Acts as a liaison between SCE and other College stakeholders to develop and implement communication strategies and update SCE communication platforms
- Develops and implement targeted engagement communication strategies for all new and returning international and domestic students
- Edits and curates content, preparing it for online publication
- Monitors and analyses metrics on all engagement tools including social media and provide timely analysis reports, and make suggestions for changes
- Works with student volunteers to work on engagement and student success projects

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Three (3) year diploma/degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, digital media or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience managing projects in a communications and marketing role (preferably in a post-secondary environment)
- Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent editing skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a keen eye for
