Marketing and Business Development Manager

Witten LLP is currently seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager. You will work as an integral member of Witten LLP’s management team and report directly to the management committee.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and monitor the marketing and business development initiatives and budgets in conjunction with management;
- Prepare and manage external communications, including advertising, media relations, and the firm’s website and social media platforms;
- Coordinate the preparation of awards, directory and ranking submissions including information sourcing, data gathering and follow-up for submission materials; in certain instances, drafting submissions for lawyer/BD leadership review; coordinating interviews with directories;
- Manage and coordinate firm events and sponsorship opportunities including professional speaking engagements, client seminars and annual client events;
- Assist with establishing the yearly budget for marketing and business development and support annual business development planning initiatives by setting objectives and tracking progress;
- Support the development of pitch documents for new business RFPs and other similar processes, including by doing database searches (e.g., Experience Database) and preparing information packages (including bios, product sheets, etc.);
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field;
- 5-7 years of experience in a professional services industry;
- Strong verbal, writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior client service;
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with work colleagues;
- Performs comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment;
- A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development and marketing strategies;
- Experience in the legal profession is preferred, but not essential.
