We have an opportunity for a Facilities Energy Specialist.

**Job Summary**:
The Facilities Energy Specialist is accountable to the Maintenance Manager for all activities related to ensuring maintenance compliance, Environmental sustainability, and Continuous Improvements for the GMP facilities systems at Septodont. This includes supporting the ongoing business, capital, and regulatory items in any GMP facilities related systems of the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze utilities consumptions and trending.
- Manage the monitoring system energy performance such as electric energy and water.
- Create and monitor KPIs and measurement system for Utilities consumption and propose actions plans to improve performance and generate savings.
- Propose sensibilization actions to reduce water and energy consumption.
- Leads Environmental sustainability initiatives in conjunction with the Environmental Health, Safety department and other departments.
- Leads Energy reduction projects from start to finish according to regional laws and regulations.
- Leads Utility and facility improvement projects related to energy improvement, emission reductions, and water consumption reduction. Efficiency and capacity improvement, cost reductions, health and safety improvements.
- Manage water and steam reduction/ improvement projects.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of GMP facility systems and processes in order to minimize downtime, turnaround time and waste reduction while maintaining the highest standard of quality.
- Execution of continuous Improvement projects focused on energy and water conservation and improvements. including all project management tasks from start to finish.
- Secondary Facilities SME on GMP facility installations/upgrade projects and actively participates at FAT/SAT/Commissioning and Installation activities of new equipment and GMP facility systems.
- Supervise contractors and Third-party technicians on site for maintenance/repairs, equipment installations, and construction projects as needed.
- Ensures approved contractors maintain compliance with internal Contractor Compliance program.
- Conducts risk assessments, writes technical reports.
- Designs, reformats and amends any Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Maintains a high level of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory safety in all aspects of work.
- Follows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Engineering Degree [BM1] or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- P.eng is an Asset.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
- Able to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical and P&ID drawings/schematics.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrates initiative, problem solver, team player and self-motivated.
- 2-3 years of experience in Project Management.

Nice to have:

- preferably in pharmaceutical, food/beverage or consumer packaging. 5+ years of experience considered an asset.
- Experience with Environmental Projects, Energy, HVAC and Purified Water systems is an asset.
