**Job Purpose**

This role reports to Senior Manager, Office of Global Head of Sanctions and Screening and supports the day-to-day operations of the group in both New York and Toronto. The responsibilities include but are not limited to presentation developments, strategic support, event and engagement coordination, resource management, group communications, regulatory exam support and any ad-hoc projects or initiatives directed by Senior Manager, Office of Global Head of Sanctions and Screening, and Managing Director, Global Head of Sanctions and Screening.

Is_**_ this role right for you? In this role, you will:_**
- Support day-to-day program operations of Global Sanctions and Screening (GSS), including strategic support, time management, resources planning, technology and facility related coordination, vendor management, and expense report submission
- Assist Senior Manager, Office of Global Head of Sanctions and Screening and Managing Director, Global Head of Sanctions and Screening in coordinating special projects and business initiatives, tracking relevant deadlines, milestones, deliverables, as well as providing status updates
- Support the development of change initiatives and contribute to the development of strategic priorities, short-term and long-term plans in collaboration with the senior leadership team
- Coordinate internal business communication strategy and tactical execution to ensure consistent and effective messaging to relevant stakeholders, including leadership meetings, town halls, ScotiaPulse working group, and staff events
- Produce decks for presentations, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
- Coordinate monthly Global Sanctions and Screening Forum and bi-monthly town Hall
- Plan and create forum topics with internal and external speakers and track progress on material submission
- Develop bi-monthly Newsletter on regulatory updates, team initiatives and relevant project summaries

- ** Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge**:

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:_**
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an environment related to financial services, consulting, or a comparable field
- B.A. in business, management, economics or relevant majors preferred
- Working knowledge of AML, sanctions compliance, and project/program management
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Outstanding communications, organization, and interpersonal skills
