**What we do**:
Demonware is looking for a positive and savvy Workplace Experience Manager to join our North American team, based in Vancouver. In this role, you will be the local representative for the Workplace Experience team to manage all aspects of day-to-day in-office/remote services and facility operations. **Your Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**:

- Manage and support the local Workplace Experience team: Workplace Experience Coordinator, North America and Front Desk Administrator
- Lead team meetings and strategic planning sessions to ensure the team have clear objectives and measurable results.
- Be the face and voice of the North America team to the rest of the company

**In-Office / Remote Operations**:

- Seek out and explore opportunities for improving the workplace experience, preparing and making well-formed business cases for any major change proposals, including space planning, office expansions, remote needs, and layout changes as required
- Directly manage the building operations and safety protocols including following evolving covid-19 protocols, and ensuring all employees are set up for success no matter their mode of work
- Work closely with the Front Desk Admin to provide a positive workplace experience, creating a welcoming and secure environment for our employees and visitors
- Work closely with the Workplace Experience Coordinator to ensure that the office is well maintained, running efficiently, and providing a high level of health and safety at all times
- Oversee and provide support for coordination of onsite and offsite events including company summits and holiday parties
- Responsible for the extensive food program budget for the office, including reviewing the budget, SLAs, and ensure the quality and service levels of vendors

**Relationship Management**:

- Manage vendor and facilities management relationships to ensure they meet contract SLAs and provide high-level services
- Act as primary contact with building management and sub-tenants
- Communicate with local business unit leaders regarding office policies, procedures and events
- Collaborate closely with IT to ensure all onsite and remote equipment needs are being met
- Collaborate closely with the Workplace Experience Manager, Europe & Asia on company-wide communications and the rollout of new programs

**Finance & Budgeting**:

- Manage vendor invoices, create & manage OPEX budgets, troubleshoot contract/invoice issues
- Responsible for Demonware credit card and expense reports

**Your Skills/**Experience**:

- 5+ years' experience as an office or facilities manager preferably with direct reports
- Self-starter who can operate with mínimal support
- Ability to plan and organize work with an opportunity mindset and creativity
- Able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
- Proficient at using Google Apps, Slack and can adapt to new software with ease
