**What you’ll do**
- The Lead, Workplace Experience reports to the department Director, and leads initiatives for strategies and programs related to onboarding, recognition, engagement, and retention. Supporting an increasingly complex health and human resource environment, this position collaborates frequently with team members and key stakeholders at multiple levels to assess and provide recommendations on workplace culture and experience. The Lead works in partnership with the Indigenous Recruitment & Employee Experience and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion teams, towards creating a workplace committed to anti-racism and a culture of safety, equity and belonging.

High-level accountabilities include:

- Develops, implements and evaluates the design and delivery of workplace culture and experience programs, strategies and processes across PHSA; makes program recommendations in alignment with People & Culture goals and objectives.
- Provides leadership, guidance and supervision using effective leadership techniques; engages and leads by creating a motivating and inspiring work environment.
- Participates in developing and recommending budget, monitors expenses, reports on variances, and recommends and implements remedial action; manages resource utilization and quality standards.
- Engages with external stakeholders including vendors, various organizations and other health authorities by representing PHSA, providing feedback and collaborating with other health authorities to share best practices and aligning programs across the industry.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**:

- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s plus 5 years’ recent, related experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Human Resources Administration, plus 8 years’ recent and related experience; Experience includes leading a team and/or organizational strategy.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Site Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.

- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade others; communicates complex ideas in simple terminology.
- Customer focused with an ability to facilitate and encourage cooperation between diverse operational groups and skill sets; works effectively with staff throughout all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and political awareness.
- Strong, positive team player with a collaborative work style.
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
