**SUMMARY**: Reporting directly to the General Manager(GM), the Production Plan Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the divisional production plan while coordinating and overseeing the timely completion of all day-to-day propagation and potting activities with a focus on maximizing efficiency. As a detailed planner, you will work closely with fellow management staff on the planning and the execution of key deliverables. As a member of our Divisional Management Team, you will play a key role in obtaining profit contribution for our location while helping lead staff on the strategic direction and business objectives put forth by the General Manager, National and Executive Management Teams.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:
**Processes / SOP’s**
- Update, create and maintain all Production Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Update, create and maintain departmental KPI’s in conjunction with GM while building departmental visibility for all levels of Management
- Ensure all production protocols and procedures are in place to capture the necessary information required to report back to the GM

**Planning & Execution**
- Work with the General Manager to create and develop Divisional production plans including propagation, potting, and Christmas
- Responsible for the successful execution of departmental plans with special attention on maximizing efficiency to meet and exceed departmental KPI’s
- Ensure best practices are in place to monitor departmental KPI’s, increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Responsible for inventory of hardgoods including sequential spacing needs related to the annual production plan.

**Production, Propagation and Purchasing**
- Mentor and direct Production Team to ensure timely and efficient execution of the Divisional Production Plan including: All Propagation activities, all potting activities, CFIA inspection of all Incoming/exporting Plant Material and Incoming Reports
- Work with the GM and National Purchasing Manager to assist in the planning and procurement of all production inputs required

**Inventory Management**
- Ensure procedures are in place so that inventories are up to date and accurate for all production related material inputs
- Ensure daily production is costed and posted to Inventory correctly
- Track daily hard good, soil and various production input usage for submission to GM
- Ensure that all production areas are in the best possible conditions according to the season, with the goal of always having them “Tour Ready”

**Staff Management**
- Responsible for management of departmental Team and ensuring each member understands their own roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for training, coaching, counseling and disciplining departmental staff while creating an environment that allows all staff the opportunity to offer information and opinions
- Implement strategies to identify, develop and retain key personnel
- Coordinate with GM and HR on any departmental policy or labour requirements

**Reporting**
- Responsible for submitting any daily, weekly, monthly or annual reports to the General Manager when requested and to perform specific ad hoc reports where necessary

**JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Management Experience. Proven.
- Systems and Process driven
- Excellent ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instruction.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Excellent computer skills - Excel focused, ability to learn new software systems.
- Operations Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Extensive Horticultural Background/Experience.
- Excellent Management skills supported by proventrack record.
- Ability to manage 50+ staff at peak
- Excellent ability to create/analyze/critique processes/SOP’s and pursue continuous improvement and efficiency.
- KPI development experience.
- Excellent math skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
